1 Sq.ft = 1 Liter.

We own a Patent for our Recycling Process. We follow a system to convert Lime Water for Soaking, by making it undergo several Biological, Physical and Chemical Treatment. Facultative bacteria developed in the process, aids in a superior Soaking usually not possible in Fresh Water. Bacterial Nano Buffing, Pre Liming, etc.… are some of the technologies imparted to recycle and subsequently improve the Quality of the Leather. In the end, we consume a mere 1 litres per SQFT for the Production of Finished leather from Raw Hide.

Renewables.

KKSK was one of the first investors in Wind Energy in the State. The group has close to 20 MW capacity of Wind Turbines located in various parts of Tamil Nadu. Our entire operations, including factories & offices, are run only on Renewable Wind Energy. We have also invested in a pilot 1 MW Solar Plant and would be further expanding in the Solar Power domain as well.

The leather thus produced by us are from a Fossil Fuel free energy source, further reducing our carbon footprint.

Sustainable Technologies for a Better Future.

We believe that sustainability is not only essential for the environment, but it's also vital for the success of any business. That's why we are proud to offer these innovative technologies that reduce environmental impact and promote sustainable business practices.

LISO Tech: Patented Water Recycling Technology

LISO Tech is our patented water recycling technology that significantly reduces fresh process water consumption to less than one liter per square foot. By minimizing water usage, LISO Tech helps businesses conserve valuable resources and cut costs, while also reducing their environmental impact.

ZEWA: Zero-Waste Manufacturing System

Our zero-waste manufacturing system, ZEWA, maximizes the use of spent dye, retan, and fat liquor baths from our mainline production. With 100% efficiency in the uptake of chemicals, ZEWA ensures zero waste and promotes a sustainable, circular economy.

Chrome Recovery: In-House Chrome Recycling Plant

Our in-house Chrome Recovery plant monitors the Chrome exhaustion levels in our outlet bath and recovers 100% of all Chrome for reuse in subsequent processes. This technology reduces the need for new Chrome and minimizes the amount of toxic waste generated, promoting sustainable practices and minimizing environmental impact.

At our core, we believe that sustainable technologies are crucial for the long-term success of any business. By integrating innovative solutions such as LISO Tech, ZEWA, and Chrome Recovery, we are committed to minimizing our environmental impact while improving efficiency and profitability for our clients.

Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD).

We consistently strive to embrace the newest advancements in Water Treatment, as we consider ourselves equally a Water Treatment company and a Tannery. Our unwavering focus on reducing resource consumption has allowed us to achieve Zero Liquid Discharge Plant status. Consequently, we reuse 100% of the treated water, ensuring that not a single drop is released into the environment.

100% Process Control.

An enduring adage in the Leather Industry states, "Leather is made in the beamhouse," emphasizing that Primary Tanning significantly influences the characteristics of the final product. Many conventional leather producers begin their process with Wet Blue, which limits their control over quality. However, we firmly adhere to the principle of matching the Right Material with the Right Tannage to create the Right Leather. By controlling every step of the process, we consistently provide the finest quality leathers available.

Quantity = Delivery.

Boasting over 40 years of experience within the industry, our proficiency in sourcing materials worldwide is unparalleled. Our specialization lies in procuring Indian materials, and we maintain substantial inventories for immediate processing upon order receipt. At any given time, we hold sufficient stock to satisfy a quarter of the year's requirements, thereby eliminating the need for Wet Blue procurement. This capability allows us to expedite deliveries, resulting in a consistently high customer satisfaction rating—our delivery performance exceeds 95%.

Myth vs Truth.

Leather is a truly sustainable material when processed right. There are many misconceptions surrounding leather in the common mind, and we feel we must create awareness among people on leather and debunk some of the myths surrounding it. Click the below link to learn more.
